A Level student Jennifer O’Donovan

Jennifer O’Donovan was determined to achieve her dream of working  as a primary school teacher, and retook her A Levels to get the grades she needed for university.

The 19-year-old said: “Last year I failed my A Levels and didn’t get into university. This year I retook them and was delighted to get an A, C and D. I’m now moving on to Manchester Metropolitan to study Primary Education.

“It took a lot of hard work and determination to get the results I needed, and I received a lot of support from my tutors, especially with my application forms for university. My tutors also spent several hours helping me practise for interviews and thanks to them, I was offered places at both the universities I had interviews for.”
