Access to HE Student Rochelle Anderson
Without the necessary qualifications needed to study for a degree in deaf studies 23-year-old Rochelle Anderson enrolled on a Pre-Access to Higher Education course as a first step to improving her skills so that she is able to apply to university in the future
Rochelle, who studies for the part-time qualification at the college’s Wellington Road campus, said: “It’s a really good course and the tutors are lovely – my skills in maths and English have really improved and I’m more confident being part of a group now.
“It’s never too late to go back to studying – if you join a course it will help you to get where you want to be in the future.”
After completing the course Rochelle intends to progress to the one-year part-time Access to HE course which aims to bridge the gap between existing qualifications and those required to study at degree level.
