Business Admin Apprentice Kavita Paul
Kavita Paul didn’t feel that going to university was for her, and decided that an apprenticeship was a great alternative to get her where she wanted to be. She now works as a Curatorial and Learning Admin Assistant at Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
The 19-year-old said: “I had just finished my A Levels and was researching universities and applying for places to study business and marketing, but when I started enrolling I just didn’t feel like it was for me. I started to go to careers events and found out about the Business Admin apprenticeship scheme, which sounded great.
“I liked that fact that it wasn’t all theory and that the tutor wasn’t looking over me all the time.
“For me, doing an apprenticeship has got me where I wanted to be had I gone to university.
I would definitely recommend an apprenticeship as an alternative to Higher Education because you get the qualifications you need as well as the work experience.”
