Community student Dolly E Omoruyi
Dolly E. Omoruyi enrolled on the one day Food Safety and Hygiene course run by the college at Wolverhampton YMCA to enhance her knowledge prior to opening her own catering business.
The 38-year-old said: “I’m a caterer and thinking of opening my own business so felt I needed to get this qualification in place.
“I’ve learnt a lot about food handling and am now more aware of food hazards. The course is not only going to be very useful for me when I open my own business, but also at home, where I will definitely be putting some of what I have learnt into practice.
“The tutor has been very good and puts the facts into context so it is very easy to understand.
“Learning in the community is a quiet and enjoyable way of studying for me. It’s very relaxed and informal.”
