“Our lecturers are great…they know we want to get our degree and really want to help us to achieve that,” says 26-year-old Alison Lewis who combines working at Summerhill Primary School in Tipton with studying for a Foundation Degree in Supporting Children in Primary Education at the college’s Wellington Road campus.

Alison, who attends college one or two evenings per week, added: “I’m enjoying working towards my degree because I’m learning so much. We all support each other, including the lecturers – they really connect with the students.”
