Futures Internship student Freya Bradley

Freya Bradley

Working in a Barnado’s charity shop as part of a Futures Internship programme has helped 20-year-old Freya Bradley to become more confident communicating with other people.

Freya, who helps staff with organising stock, labelling items, creating displays and cleaning, said: “I want to work in a charity shop like this because I like it.”

Futures Internships are part of the wider Futures programme – aimed at young people with special educational needs and/or an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) – which provides a safe and inclusive curriculum which will also enhance their life skills and develop their abilities to help them move towards living independently
