Futures Student Cameron Frost
Pathway to Sport student Cameron Frost started his placement at City of Wolverhampton College with Wolves Community Trust to gain an insight into a career within football.
While there, Cameron shared his dream of going to Molineux, so was offered the chance to play with Sporting Chances during the end of season play on the pitch experience.
He impressed his team leader so much that he was successfully selected for the Wolves Sporting Chances football team, providing him with a platform to train and compete in matches. Not only that, he moved on to a sports course at college.
Cameron said: “‘I wouldn’t have been able to succeed if not for the help of the staff at Wolves Community Trust. Because of my positive experiences in this placement, I want to continue in this career path. I have been selected to continue at Wolverhampton Wanderers on a Sunday in my own time and I am delighted.”
Sporting Chances Team Leader Gavin Jones added: “The partnership with Wolverhampton College looks to provide opportunities to young adults which previously may not have been available to them. The partnership has facilitated Cameron’s work experience, motivated him to pursue a career in sport and play in a Wolves football team which has been a huge aspiration of his.”
