Games Design student Russell Walls

After doing well in his media A Level at school Russell Walls wanted to move on to a more focussed media course. He decided on the Games Design Level 3 course because of the broad range of subjects it covered.

The 19-year-old said: “I studied at sixth form and got a good grade in media studies but failed the rest of my A Levels so I wanted to focus on what I was good at.

“The course is ace and I have been able to study anything from coding to artwork. My drawing skills have increased tenfold. The teaching methods are great. The tutors are laid back but assertive and if you do something well you are praised for it.

“We work on high-end graphics tablets and also go on work experience with local games developers so we are prepared for careers in industry.”
