GCSE student Liam Mahon
It’s been a busy few years for 23-year-old Liam Mahon, who is waving goodbye to the college after five years of study.
Liam, who is a former Student’s Union President and governor, said: “I started college on a Health and Social Care and pre-GCSE Science course before moving up through the levels to the Extended Diploma in Science.
“This year was my first year tackling my GCSE in English. I have always struggled with English and left school with an F grade. However, I was recently diagnosed with dyslexia and with the college’s support was delighted to pass.
“I never thought I would get my English GCSE and am over the moon – the tutors have done an amazing job.
“I’m now off to university to study Environmental Health and will miss college. While here I have grown as a person and become a lot more confident.”
