GCSE student Teri Roberts

Primary school teacher

Teri Roberts needed to improve her GCSE grades in order to pursue her dream of becoming a primary school teacher.

The 25-year-old, who has just completed her GCSE Maths and English at college, said: “I got D grades at school so am delighted to have improved on those grades and achieved a B and C.

“The tutors have been lovely and without their help I wouldn’t have got the grades I needed.

“I was on an evening course so most of the other people in my class were mature students like me, which was nice.”

Teri is moving on to her Access to HE course as well as starting GCSE Science.
