GCSE student Zoe Davies

Zoe Davies left school with no GCSEs and after struggling to kickstart her career decided it was time to gain her qualifications.

The 33-year-old said: “I was big headed at school and didn’t study and was the class joker.

“After a series of dead end jobs I realised I was getting nowhere so thought I would go to college. I have just passed my NVQ Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning along with my Functional Skills in Maths, and have now gained my very first GCSE.

“It felt amazing to achieve a GCSE. I had health and family issues to cope with during the course but my tutor was fantastic and a great support.

“It may be a C grade, but to me it is like getting an A* as it is my first GCSE ever!”
