IT apprentice Aaron Degville

Aaron Degville was studying for his degree at university when he realised an IT apprenticeship would be a better route for him to go down.

The 23-year-old said: “I was studying business at uni but didn’t really enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I was looking at jobs but they all asked for experience and I realised that with an apprenticeship I could get that experience while also learning.

“I have really enjoyed the apprenticeship. It’s been great working four days a week and having a day release to come into college and have the time to do my assignments and learn more of the theory. The college has been brilliant and I would definitely recommend it to others looking to get into a trade or industry.”

After completing his apprenticeship at IT services company Technology Management, Aaron was kept on as a full-time technical consultant.
