Music Technology student Rebecca Lewis
Two years ago Rebecca Lewis was retaking her GCSEs at college. She has now completed her Music Technology Level 3 course and is looking to move on to a HND in Live Sound and Events.
The 19-year-od said: “I enrolled at the college to retake my GCSEs after not getting the grades I needed at school, and never thought that in just two years I would be looking at doing a HE course.
“I decided to stay on at college to do my music qualification because of how supportive the college had been through my GCSEs. The course has been great. It has really helped me understand music and the way it’s created. We get to work with the rest of the creative arts department on projects, such as helping performing arts stage shows, so we get real life experience. The tutors are easy to get along with and are always there if you need anything.”
Rebecca hopes to work as a sound engineer in the future.
