Join us on this short break to two of Belgium's finest Christmas Markets. In Brussels an abundance of stalls and an ice rink are clustered around the festively decorated Place Saint Catherine as well as smaller markets of the Grand Place and the Fish market. Then there is the picturesque city of Bruges. With its beautiful well-preserved medieval architecture, jolly decorations and plentiful stalls. , , Bruges really is a fantastic destination during the Christmas period. Why not also take some time to wander along the beautiful cobbled streets that follow its sunken canals and narrow streets?, , On the way home, we also include a visit to a wine and beer warehouse for you to stock up for the festive period.

Lille's Christmas market is not only one of the prettiest and oldest but also the largest and most exciting Christmas markets in Northern France. There's plenty on offer with over 70 market stalls selling original gifts and delicacies, an exciting funfair and entertainment galore., , Why not join our optional evening excursion to the Christmas Markets in Arras. The Grand Place of this charming town is covered with over 60 stalls selling delicacies and handicrafts from throughout the world. On this festive break you will be treated to street entertainment, candlelit parades, carol concerts and much more, set against the enchanting backdrop of Rochester's castle, cathedral and historic centre. On day three we will journey across the Channel to Lille, where you can explore one of the largest Christmas Markets in Northern France. On the return journey we stop at the UNESCO World Heritage city of Canterbury for time at leisure at its Christmas Markets.

Luxembourg City is the capital of one of Europe’s smallest countries and because of its impressive defences is also known as “Gibraltar of the North”. Its traditional Christmas Market in the Place de Armes is a must- visit destination and provides you with a fantastic selection of mulled wine, food and gifts. This tour also includes a visit across the border to the Trier Christmas Markets, in Germany, located on the medieval Main Market and in front of the imposing backdrop of the Trier Cathedral. The compact markets have a wonderful atmosphere and boast of quality stalls and entertainment. Finally, we include an excursion to Metz. Whilst in this nearby French city you can peruse nearly 100 stalls and the Gallo-Roman architecture of the city.,

Koblenz’s traditional Christmas market will be held in the picturesque Old Town. Cologne’s Christmas Markets are some of Europe’s finest and the one that takes place with Cologne Cathedral as its backdrop is the most impressive. There are no fewer than six others, including the stalls of the Alter Markt nestled in the city’s narrow, gabled streets of the Old Town., , This three day break then visits the nearby city of Bonn – the former capital of Germany. In the beautifully lit Münsterplatz the stalls cluster beneath an ornate town hall which doubles as an Advent Calendar from December 1st. , , As we journey home, on day three, we visit a wine and beer warehouse, time permitting, to stock up on festive cheer for the Christmas period.

This selection of three different European Christmas Markets is always one of our most popular festive short breaks. Watch the skaters on the famous rink built around the main square in Ostend and browse the tempting stalls on offer. Wind your way amongst the Christmas stalls in the caves underneath the town of Valkenburg and visit the romantic ruined castle at its centre. Finally, in Bruges, wander along the picturesque canals and cobbled streets after visiting the Christmas markets taking place in Bruges’ grand squares., , In the evenings you can enjoy the pubs, clubs, bars and restaurants (not forgetting the casino!) that are on offer in Ostend.,
