Business Administration Apprenticeship (E Services) with Wolverhampton City Council

The Business and Administration Apprentice will have a focus within the team to support existing staff with the core business operations including the SLA’s provided to Schools. This includes finance, office administration, online systems updating, excellent communication and customer service.
•Provide clerical and administrative support, and develop proficient word processing, ordering and control of stationary supplies, faxing and photocopying for the service.
•Answer the telephone in a pleasant and efficient manner and take messages as required. This will be as part of the Service Desk and may require some initial information gathering techniques as well as responding to tickets.
•Attend meetings and learn to take minutes of meetings as required.
•Liaise with contractors, customers and other service areas on any matters regarding delivery of goods, services provided and payment of invoices as directed by senior staff.
•Assist with ordering and invoicing procedures and maintain simple finance records
•Ensure all incoming mail and outgoing (including electronic) correspondence is distributed promptly and confidentially in accordance with instructions from the Service Team Leader / Manager.
•Assist and implement office procedures and systems to ensure efficient and smooth operations
•Assist with enquiries and receive visitors in a courteous manner and maybe required to organise lunch and beverages if required.
•Maintain service user account information and update periodically as and when required
•Updating websites online as per customer instructions and produce reports
•Communicate and form good relations with 3rd Party companies and obtain quotes for various pieces of required work
•Supporting other team members with project work and assisting with daily information update routine work
