Office Admin Apprenticeship with Thornes Legal Ltd

A great opportunity for a school leaver looking for their first move into an office role. Self confidence, good communications skills and attention to detail are all essential. There will be a considerable amount of client contact.

Reporting to the Business Manager you will support the departmental administrators to:

  • Create court ‘bundles’ and provide general office duties, including the reception area
  • Greeting clients
  • Handling of switchboard calls
  • Taking messages
  • Supporting the DX run
  • Organising refreshments for clients and colleagues
  • Photocopying and collating court ‘bundles’ for court judge
  • Copy and audio typing as required
  • Sending emails and ensuring communication to recipient as soon as possible after receipt of email
  • Respond to client requests for information on services
  • Process all deliveries and collections on a daily basis
  • Banking of cash and cheques as required on a daily basis
  • Support document retrieval as required
  • Support the Office Manager as required
  • Provide lunch and break cover to the receptionist every day
