We are working in partnership with The West Midlands Combined Authority and City of Wolverhampton Council to deliver a range of training programmes in the laying and maintenance of rail track.
Who is this for?
Whether you are looking for a rewarding first job, a change in career or returning to work, there’s a place for you in the rail track industry. This course is aimed at people over 19 years-old. You need to be able to commit to 4 weeks of training, 5 days per week.
Why choose rail?
Investment in rail projects and upgrade is set to surge in the West Midlands and there is already a proven need for qualified and skilled rail workers within the region.
Where can this lead you to?
This is an employment led initiative to support people into jobs and careers in the rail track industry. This course will give you the skills and relevant cards you’ll need to begin a career in this sector. At the end you are guaranteed an interview with a relevant employer.
What to do next?
Training programmes run throughout the year. Once you have indicated an interest directly through us, to your Job Centre work coach or via Wolves at Work you will be invited to the next information session.
