Carl has been teaching Sport at City of Wolverhampton College for 4 years. Before getting into teaching Carl has had a lot of experience in this industry

After completing his studies at City of Wolverhampton College back in 2011, Carl then went on to continue studying at Southampton Solent University achieving a first class degree in Sport, continuing with his passion then completing a Master’s Degree in Sport Psychology at Cardiff Metropolitan University and finally completing his PGCE at Wolverhampton University.

Carl has had experience in such job roles as Sports Co-ordinator for a company that provided sports sessions for young people at risk of joining gangs, as well as obtaining funding from various agencies such as West Midlands Police. He has also been Head of Sport at The Way Youth Zone planning and providing sports sessions for up to 200 young people.

 

 “I chose this industry to provide students with the same opportunity that City of Wolverhampton College gave me as a student. Without coming to City of Wolverhampton College and receiving the fantastic support from the likes of Dan Clarke and Gemma Williams, I would not be where I am today. As a result, I am passionate about giving this opportunity to the students who are now enrolled at the college.
