Are you interested in furthering your skills in fashion? If you have already completed the UAL Level 1 Fashion and Textiles course with us and wish to develop your skills further, these classes enable you to continue to develop both your practical and design skills further.
Led by Naazim Qureshi, the course will allow you to complete a portfolio of complex garment construction techniques and also includes learning how to design and adapt garments and apply those techniques to a commercial pattern or a pattern of your own design.
The course will provide you with extended knowledge of materials, processes and technical skills used in fashion and textiles, their particular characteristics and the related skills necessary to record experiences and ideas. You will also develop your awareness of the value of contextual research to support art and design activity.
You will extend your knowledge of fabrics, their alternative uses and complex properties and will also complete garment and apply the techniques learned throughout the sessions.*
The course is accredited by the University of the Arts London (UAL) Awarding Body - a specialist awarding body offering up-to-date qualifications in the creative industries. It is owned by, and based within, University of the Arts London. City of Wolverhampton College is the only college in the Black Country, and one of only a few in the Midlands, to be accredited and offer qualifications from the University of Arts London.

You'll train in our dedicated facilities which include dedicated fashion and textiles room and equipment. Also available on campus are graphics studios, fashion and print making studios together with a range of classrooms and facilities as part of the Creative Arts department including digital recording studios, TV studios and editing suites. All tutors are active within the art and design industry and have a wealth of knowledge and experience to call upon enabling you the best opportunity to progress in your chosen career.
