This 10-hour Level 2 Award in Managing Challenging Behaviour in Children and Young People qualification has been designed to enable the learner to understand the reasons for and effects of challenging behaviour in children and young people, how challenging behaviour may be managed and what support is available.
The qualification is targeted at learners/practitioners who wish to or currently work with children and/or young people who exhibit challenging behaviour. It is also suitable for parents/carers who wish to support a child or young person.
By the end of this course, you'll be able to plan an activity that may minimise the possibility of children and young people exhibiting challengingbehaviour.
Through a portfolio of evidence created by you. Grading is pass/fail.
Learners may extend their knowledge of other learning difficulties or disabilities through further offers available throughout the academic year, or progress onto higher level qualifications to support a route into employment (such as the level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning certificate).
The college offers a range of short courses around S.E.N and supporting learning with delivery from experienced and dedicated staff working in the sector.
