The Multiply course is a new free government-funded programme for adults aged 19 to improve your numeracy skills. If you don't have a maths GCSE at grade C (or equivalent) this course will build your confidence in maths and may unlock new job opportunities and can support you in everyday life, such as helping the kids with their homework.

This is a short course ranging from 10-20 hours over 4-6 weeks.

To access this course you must:

  • Be aged 19 and over
  • Not have maths GCSE at grade C (or equivalent)

Please note you can also access this course if you are on Universal Credit.

During the course you will:

  • Complete a career plan
  • Build and develop your maths skills
  • Develop work-based maths skils

By studying this course you will:

  • Improve your numeracy skills
  • Build your confidence in using/applying maths
  • Look at a variety of skills needed in the workplace

There is no formal assessment, this course looks at building your skills.

After successfully completing this course you can progress onto a Maths Functional Skills (entry 1 to Level 2) course to further develop your maths skills. Functional Skills are alternative qualifications to GCSEs and are nationally recognised qualifications.

We offer flexible learning to fit around your work/life commitments with a flexible delivery of online, face-to-face or blended learning. You will have 24/7 access to Century (an artificial intelligence learning platform), support throughout the course and sessions that will help you build your skills.

You will have access to a range of resources that will help you build your confidence, as well as access to careers advice and guidance to support you with your next steps.
