Candidates do not require any formal entry requirements in Health and Safety, however it is recommended that learners undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IETS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests or GCSE English Language A*-C (9-4 new system).
On this one-day course learners will be equipped with the knowledge to help recognise, assess and reduce manual handling risks in their organisation.
On completion of the course learners will;
Identify the importance of risk reduction, identify manual handling risks and their injuries and understand legal obligations.
Manual handling risk assessment and risk management techniques.
Students will be required to produce a manual handling risk assessment using HSE MAC or RAPP Tools.
