The engineering department has excellent links with major employers in the area and develops courses in line with their requirements to ensure that you will develop the knowledge and skills they need their workforce to have.

You’ll train at the new £8.1 million purpose-built Advanced Technology and Automotive Centre, at the Wellington Road campus, which boasts dedicated engineering workshops kitted out with industry-standard equipment including robots, 3D printers, laser cutters, lathes and millers and a specialist CAD room featuring AutoCAD and SolidWorks software.
