Introduction to Rapid Prototyping Study Mode: Part-time | Course Level:
If you are interested in making new parts using rapid prototyping, then this is the course for you.
There are no specific entry requirements for this course although completion of a CAD course is desirable.
During this course you will:
Take models and designs and upload them to rapid prototyping software
Use slicing software
Design support material in the construction of components
Make 3D prototyping models from a range of different polymers
Set up and use a rapid prototyping machine
By studying this course you will:
Expand your knowledge in rapid prototyping and gain a qualification
Throughout the course you will be assessed in the following ways:
Completion of programmes and components
The skills you will learn from this course will enable you to pursue a career in rapid prototyping and advanced manufacturing.
This short course will introduce you to how to create simple components using the rapid prototyping software and machine. You can then use these skills and knowledge to develop your career in the sector by gaining employment, applying for an apprenticeship or a full-time course.
