Esports is a rapidly growing sector that involves high levels of competition and excellent career pathways, including coaching, health and fitness in the Esports industry, enterprise and creativity, leadership, entrepreneurship, Esports events, practical gaming, gaming citizenship and personal and professional development.
Whilst studying on the course you will be part of a creative community of game developers, artists and event organisers. You will have the opportunity to compete in local, regional and national competitions, whilst at the same time developing your knowledge and understanding on coaching, psychology, nutrition, video games design, shoutcasting, games design and much more.
You will represent the college Esports team and compete with other gamers across Britain.
Level 3: Four or more GCSEs at grade C or above including English or Maths or successful completion of a full Level 2 study programme in a related area.

By studying this course you will:

This is an assignment based course so there are no exams.
You will be continually assessed throughout the programme.
There are several components to the assessments which are in the form of practical and theoretical assessments
The skills you will learn from this course will enable you to pursue a career in Coaching, Health and Fitness in the Esports industry, Enterprise and Creativity, Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Esports Events, Practical Gaming, Gaming Citizenship and Personal and Professional Development.
After you have successfully completed this course you can progress on to year 2 of the Esports Extended diploma, then on to University to study Esports even further.
