Bridget Ann Connors faced many challenges before joining City of Wolverhampton College. Struggling with ADHD and personal difficulties, she found it hard to stay focused and engaged in school; often feeling overlooked. However, since starting at college on Level 2 Beauty, she has experienced a complete turnaround.
“City of Wolverhampton College has been the most understanding and supportive place for me. The staff are always there when I need them, and they genuinely care. I know I wouldn’t get this level of support anywhere else.
“Struggling in school, I often felt unheard, but at college, I have found supportive staff who take me seriously and are helping me to succeed. I finally feel like I belong, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!”
With the college’s encouragement, Bridget has grown in confidence, improved her punctuality, and engaged more in lessons. She is also thriving in cadets, where she has gone from being shy to leading groups and even flying a plane. Choosing to stay at the college and progressing onto Level 3 Beauty instead of moving away, she looks forward to continuing her journey in an environment where she feels valued and supported.
