COLLEGE CELEBRATES A LEVEL RESULTS - City of Wolverhampton College

Students and staff at City of Wolverhampton College were celebrating today as excited students arrived at the Paget Road Campus to discover that they had scored an achievement rate of 95% for A Level provision.

Results from the college, which is in the top 10% of college’s in the country for student satisfaction, showed a 100 per cent achievement rate in nine A Level subjects, including Maths, English Literature, Politics and Art.

Among the high achievers was Sophie Cartwright who picked up three A grades for Art, English Language and History. The 17-year-old said: “I’m so happy with my results. The college have been really supportive and my tutors are so helpful, always there to answer my questions. I’ve really enjoyed studying at City of Wolverhampton College and now I can’t wait to start uni.”

Curriculum Manager for A Levels Sally Slater said: “I am really proud of all our students for achieving such great results.

“With more students than ever choosing to study their A Level with us this really has been a fantastic year for our sixth form centre, and it is with great pride that we send them off to the next stage in their lives – whether that is university, an apprenticeship or into employment.”

The college offers a range of A Levels through wvSixth, its specialist provision for school leavers, which is preparing to receive students who will start their A Levels in September. Places are still available for some subjects. For more information on courses ring 01902 836000.
