Eighteen year old Ezra Keldo is currently studying the T-Level in Digital Support Services at City of Wolverhampton College. Following this, she plans to pursue further education in Artificial Intelligence and hopes to work in the AI sector.
Ezra said: “I chose the T-Level in Digital Support Services because I wanted to gain both the knowledge and practical experience needed to pursue my future career. The course covers a wide range of topics, including business context, computer parts, servers, and the digital side of technology. Since starting, I’ve learned so much, particularly about how things work in the sector.
“One of the things I enjoy most is that the class is small, which allows us to bond and support each other. We help each other with areas we might struggle in, and the tutors are great at providing one-on-one support. It’s a very tailored learning experience, which I don’t think would be possible in larger classes. The tutors also adapt their teaching methods to suit our needs.
“As part of the T-Level, we’re encouraged to attend industry events like cybersecurity conferences, where we can see how things work in real-world settings. I’m also looking forward to my 45-day work placement, where I hope to gain hands-on experience in the IT sector and potentially secure a job afterward. This work placement is a fantastic opportunity to get exposure to the real-world work environment.
“For anyone thinking about joining the college, I would say don’t worry too much. I was nervous about making friends, but everyone here is supportive. Just focus on your goals, and if you ever need help, the tutors are always there for you.”
