“I recently completed the West Midlands Metro course at City of Wolverhampton College. At first, I found the first couple of days overwhelming as I tried to take in so many new skills. I spoke to my tutor, who encouraged me to keep going and give myself a real chance.
“Each day, I motivated myself to show up, put in the effort, and study at home. As the course progressed, I started to feel more positive, hopeful, and confident—especially as the final tests approached.
“I completed all of the assessments and felt I’d done well, though I knew there was still room for improvement. The very next day, I got a call with some amazing news: I’d passed, and Midland Metro were offering me a job!
“It just goes to show—hard work really does pay off. Keep believing in yourself, don’t give up, and make the most of every opportunity to learn.
