I’m Stacey Johnson and I deliver BTEC Business to students aged 16-19.
Prior to joining the college, I worked in secondary schools as a business mentor working with students to help them become young entrepreneurs, as well as a career advisor delivering programmes to sixth form students wanting to explore their options towards university.
I also have extensive experience as a youth worker in faith-based organisations, where I helped young people from disadvantaged backgrounds become the best versions of themselves.
I have experience of running my own businesses, from owning my own salon, running my own weddings and event company to running my own online chocolate business.
I enjoy teaching business and sharing my knowledge and experiences to the students. I believe that students don’t care about what you know, until they know that you care. So I pride myself in taking holistic approaches to building rapport during lessons to help them work past their personal barriers in education.
My qualifications include a FDdA in Salon Business Management, BA Hons Degree in Business Enterprise, PGCE Post Graduate Degree in Teaching, Beauty and Holistic Therapy, Certified CAVA and End point assessor, Wedding Planning and Payroll Certified.
In my spare time, I home educate my teenage daughter and help and support my teenage son with running his own businesses, and also enjoy drawing and creating my own art pieces in preparation to exhibit in the future.
