I have worked in automotive education for over 20 years and really enjoy helping young people to achieve their goals. I have actively taken part in motorsport and currently enjoy following Formula 1. The staff in the automotive department are fantastic! We are all friendly and approachable and want our students to have the best possible experience while they’re at college. I did my automotive qualification at the college and now after around 19 years I am back, working as a college tutor in the same department. Before going into teaching, I worked in the automotive industry and have repaired all different type of cars from a Ford Fiesta to a Ferrari Testarossa. In my free time I enjoy playing the guitar and socialising with friends.
Before joining the college I worked in the motor trade for 15 years and have worked on everything that has wheels and an engine! I have a passion for motorsport and work as part of a pit crew in a race team at the weekend. As well as that, my other hobbies include mixed martial arts and model making.
Before coming to work at the college, I worked for Vauxhall for 18 years. I started my training as an apprentice technician and worked my way up to becoming a manager. I really enjoyed training younger members of staff at Vauxhall and felt very proud when I saw them develop into great technicians. Now I’m looking forward to doing the same with students at college.
I’ve worked in the motor trade for over 10 years and enjoy performance cars, modifying cars and any sort of motorsport! Outside of work my hobbies include football, boxing, motor racing track days, as well as following motorsport closely.
I’ve worked in the automotive industry for over 30 years and in the 1990’s I was involved in rally car racing, where I would perform engine upgrades and modifications for optimum performance. Outside of work, I enjoy going to live shows and concerts and watching Wolverhampton Wanderers play.
I started my automotive career as an apprentice with the Volkswagen Audi group and came to City of Wolverhampton College to do my qualifications on a day release basis. Since then, I went on to work for Mercedes and then ran my own MOT station. I now work as a Technician; helping and supporting day-to-day activities in the workshop. I’m enjoying sharing my industry knowledge with our automotive students.
Before joining the college, I worked in the motor vehicle trade and have experience of working on light vehicles and heavy vehicles. Because of my experience I decided to move into teaching and am enjoying developing the next generation of automotive technicians.
