Motor Vehicle student Ronan Lees

17-year-old Ronan Lees is following in his dad’s footsteps by wanting to work in the in the motor vehicle industry and signed up for the Level 1 diploma as the first step to his future career.

Ronan, who wants to own his own motorcycle repair business in the future, said: ““Even though I only started the course in September I’ve already gained in confidence and feel as though I know what I’m doing now rather than having to ask for help from the tutor all the time.

“It’s good to be learning the right way of doing things and the onsite workshop is a great place to get on-the-job experience as it’s just like the professional garage my dad works in.”

After completing the course Ronan hopes to progress to the Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications and then set up his own business.
