We’ll listen to what you hope to do in the future and advise on the best way to achieve this – whether it’s improving your maths and English, enrolling on a college course, improving your digital skills or helping you to apply for jobs.
With help in searching for jobs and applying for vacancies, producing a CV, or tips on how to perform in an interview – there’s something for ever your level, ability or experience.
Our courses will also help you to develop a range of important personal and employability skills – such as communication, team working, time keeping, organising and customer service – which are vital in any job and will be useful in whatever sector you work in in the future.
What’s more – we have a range of courses that will give you the skills you need to work in specific local priority sectors – such as construction groundworks, rail track maintenance, electric vehicle, and health & social care – with a guaranteed interview with an employer at the end of the programme.
We don’t just run courses on the college campuses in Compton and Bilston – we also offer them in a range of community venues across the city so you can access training closer to home and fit learning around your other commitments.
The Get into Work or Training programme is a collaboration between City of Wolverhampton College, City of Wolverhampton Council, Job Centre Plus and employers from across the West Midlands to deliver a range of scheme to give enable local people to develop the skills they need to become work-ready.
