Marcia Hudson-Monfries
Marcia has worked in education with a focus on information, advice and guidance (IAG) and careers education for over 20 years. Previously from a teaching background Marcia went on to develop her skills and knowledge to become qualified in careers education information, advice & guidance and counselling.In her current role as Student Hub careers guidance team leader, she is part of a small yet enthusiastic and dedicated team of careers advisers alongside an inspirational careers leader.A settled mind is vital for students to benefit from their learning experience in college. As a counsellor, Marcia provides confidential counselling in person and by telephone for enrolled students. Counselling offers a safe and confidential space where their thoughts and feelings can be explored. They can feel listened to and understood without being judged. Through this experience they can move their life in a direction that is right for them.
