Georgina Campbell-Levy is studying Level 3 Bakery at City of Wolverhampton College. Passionate about baking and creativity, she has developed strong technical and presentation skills that are helping her work toward her dream of owning her own bakery.
“On the course I’ve learned how to make different types of bread, how ingredients react with each other, and how to use different fats in different situations. There’s a lot of science behind baking, and understanding that has made a huge difference to my skills.
“Since starting, I’ve become much more confident, especially with decorating and presentation. Those are the things that really make baked goods appealing to buyers, and the course has helped me improve in that area a lot.
“In the future, I’d love to have my own bakery. The course is helping me get there by teaching me not just practical baking skills but also business management, stock control and how to present products in a professional way.
“The atmosphere at the college is really nice, everyone is friendly, and the tutors are great. They sit down with you when you don’t understand something and make sure you feel supported throughout the course.
“To anyone thinking about coming to the college, I’d definitely recommend it. The environment is welcoming, the staff are helpful, and you learn so much that can set you up for a future career in the industry.”
