Liam Bloomer

Course: Travel and Tourism Level 3

After completing his two-year Travel and Tourism Level 3 Extended Diploma at City of Wolverhampton College, 18-year-old Liam Bloomer has successfully launched his career in the travel industry as Cabin Crew.

“I chose this course because it was the perfect fit for what I wanted to do in the future. I wanted a qualification that would give me a solid understanding of how the industry works, and when I attended the open day, the tutors were so welcoming that I knew it was the right choice for me.

“Since leaving college, I’ve started working as Cabin Crew, a role I’ve always dreamed of. It’s been such a rewarding experience. My job involves ensuring the safety and wellbeing of passengers throughout the flight, delivering excellent customer service, and being prepared for anything the day might bring, from medical situations to emergencies.

“The course gave me a huge insight into the industry and helped me develop practical skills like customer service, communication, and problem-solving. It also boosted my confidence when dealing with passengers and taught me about the responsibilities and expectations of working in this sector.

“My plan now is to keep building my career in travel, and I hope to progress within the company and gain even more experience.

“If you’re thinking about studying Travel and Tourism, I’d definitely recommend it. The course gives you a great understanding of the industry and opens up so many opportunities. The tutors are brilliant, the content is engaging, and the skills you learn are genuinely useful in the real world. Even if travel isn’t your ultimate goal, the transferable skills make it a fantastic starting point.”
