Our Photography Facilities

The photography department at the CLQ campus provides equipment and facilities to enable you to develop your technical and creative photography skills.

The department boasts a fully-equipped photography studio for professional shoots, a traditional darkroom for film processing, and computer suites with industry-standard photo editing software, enabling you to explore classic and modern photography techniques and  produce high-quality images from concept to final edit.

The college is proud to work in partnership with The Robin, a live music venue in Bilston. This partnership strengthens our Photography provision through a range of collaborative activities, helping to ensure learners benefit from real‑world creative experience and industry engagement through:

  • Work experience opportunities at live events, where students photograph performances, capturing the atmosphere, energy and key moments of live entertainment
  • Professional editing and client presentation experience, enabling students to select, edit and professionally present their images to the venue, helping them develop industry-standard workflows and client communication skills
  • Industry insight and creative development, supporting students in building professional portfolios and gaining a deeper understanding of careers within photography, media and the live events industry
