This T Level in Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction is ideal if you’re interested in the management and professional side of the construction industry. You’ll develop a strong understanding of how construction projects are designed, planned, managed, and delivered, while exploring specialist areas such as surveying, design processes, and project planning.
A key part of the programme is an industry placement of at least 45 days, giving you the opportunity to gain valuable real-world experience, work alongside industry professionals, and put your classroom learning into practice. You’ll also continue to develop your English, maths, communication, and problem-solving skills, helping you become work-ready and prepared for higher-level study or employment.

Developed with employers and shaped by industry needs, this T Level gives you direct exposure to the construction sector through employer engagement activities and an extensive industry placement. These experiences help you build professional networks, gain valuable workplace experience, and develop the skills and confidence needed to progress into employment, an apprenticeship, or higher education.

To access this course, you are required to:
- 5 x GCSE Grade 4 or above Inc Maths, English & Science
- A record of high attendance from your previous studies
- You will be expected to maintain good attendance and punctuality, as well as show commitment, a positive attitude to learning, and determination to achieve the qualification.
For internal progression learners (already studying with us):
Learners must be able to demonstrate that they:
- Have successfully completed a relevant course that naturally progresses onto this programme, achieving a good standard
- Have improved their English and maths grades since enrolment
- Have maintained good attendance and punctuality
- Show a consistently positive attitude to learning
