If you want to work in engineering, an industry-recognised City & Guilds qualification will enable you to gain the specialist skills and knowledge needed to gain well-paid employment and embark on a rewarding career in the sector.

The engineering department has excellent links with major employers in the area – including  Tata Steel, Moog, Avara, Siemens and Collins Aerospace – and develop courses in line with their requirements to ensure that you will develop the knowledge and skills they need their workforce to have.

What’s more, our engineering centre operates as a modern manufacturing plant and incorporates Lean Systems – including improvement processes, elimination of waste and developing smarter working practices – into all its courses, something that will look great on your CV and impress employers when you are applying for jobs in the future.

You will train at the new £8.1 million purpose-built Advanced Technology and Automotive Centre at the Wellington Road campus, in Bilston, which boasts dedicated engineering workshops kitted out with industry-standard equipment including fabrication and welding suites, a specialist CAD room featuring AutoCAD and SolidWorks software, CNC milling machines, lathes, 3D printers, mechatronic t-rigs and a laser cutter.
