If you already have welding experience but would like to achieve a City & Guilds level 2 qualification in TIG welding, or have just completed the Level 1 TIG short course and want to continue developing your practical skills, this short course will give you a greater understanding of TIG welding processes and techniques used in the industry.

You will train at the new £8.1 million purpose-built Advanced Technology and Automotive Centre at the Wellington Road campus, in Bilston, which boasts dedicated engineering workshops kitted out with industry-standard equipment including fabrication and welding suites, a specialist CAD room featuring AutoCAD and SolidWorks software, CNC milling machines, lathes, 3D printers, mechatronic t-rigs and a laser cutter.

Entry Requirements:
You must have completed a Level 1 TIG course or have the appropriate experience.
What will I learn?
During the course you will study the following modules:
- Setting up and closing down procedures of welding equipment
- Welding techniques and joints in your one chosen field
- Health and safety in a welding workshop
