Is this course right for me?
This is an ideal course for learners who want a career in the beauty industry, particularly in holistic therapy.
Short courses are also a great way of topping up your qualifications & skills, when you are already working as a therapist and you want to offer your clients something new!
If you currently carry out massage treatments, whether that’s full body, Indian head or as part of a facial, a manicure or a pedicure, this qualification will enable you to incorporate pre-blended aromatherapy oils into the treatment, that could really benefit the client further.

This course will run on a Tuesday evening: 5.30pm – 8.30pm for 8 weeks.

Course details
Entry Requirements:
To access this course you are required to:
- Have a level 1 or above qualification in English and maths
- Successfully completed a Level 1 or 2 Beauty qualification (preferred but not essential)
- Experience within the beauty industry
- Health & safety qualification (including Unit 202) or working towards &/or industry experience (voluntary or paid employment)
What will I learn?
During this course you will learn about the following:
- Health & safety & suitable environmental conditions
- Communication & consultation techniques
- Creating a treatment plan for a client
- Selecting appropriate pre-blended aromatherapy oils
- Identifying different contra-indications, skin types & skin conditions
- Full body aromatherapy massage routine
- Massage techniques to include lymphatic drainage & pressure release
- Aftercare advice & homecare recommendations
- Anatomy & Physiology – 9 different system
What skills will I gain?
- You will gain valuable knowledge of essential oils, their benefits, effects and how to confidently select the best pre-blend to suit your client’s needs.
- You will learn an array of massage techniques that you will put together to create a full routine
- You will develop your confidence & communication whilst dealing with a wide range of clientele
