About our GAP courses

GAP- Skills, Development and Careers

Run either at our Paget Road Campus or in a local Community Venue

You will undertake a range of practical units to improve your confidence and communication, team working and organisational skills including:
  • Community-based project
  • Event planning
  • Business development
  • Using English and maths in everyday settings (functional skills)
  • Preparing for future study
You will gain a range of recognised Level 1 qualification and successful completion of the programme will enable you to progress to a college course in a subject that interests you.

GAP- International

Suitable for those where English is not their first language.

The course will help you to develop and improve your English reading, writing and speaking skills which, in turn, will help you to develop more confidence as you will be able to understand things better, communicate more easily with friends and move on to other college courses in the future.

You  will gain qualifications in Maths, English and Employability Skills, be supported by experienced staff as well as experiencing college life.
