PayMyStudent is the online system we use at City of Wolverhampton College to make applying for financial support simple and straightforward. If you’re aged 16–18 or an adult learner, you may be eligible for a range of support, depending on your personal circumstances.
You can access PayMyStudent on any device – computer, tablet or mobile. Once registered, you’ll complete an application form, provide any additional details requested, and upload supporting evidence such as household income. We’ll then assess your application to see which bursaries or financial support you may be entitled to.
From your online account you can:
Track the progress of your application
View and manage payments
Update your bank details
Make additional funding claims
If you’re aged 16–18 and have accepted an offer to study at City of Wolverhampton College, you can apply from 1 July for help towards course costs such as books, equipment, uniform, meals and childcare.
Adult learners can apply the day after enrolment.
To get started, you’ll need to register on PayMyStudent using your student number, date of birth and a chosen password. Step-by-step guides are available to help you set up your account and submit your application.
All learners will need to pay for their own travel and lunches until their PayMyStudent application has been assessed.
Keep your bus tickets and lunch receipts – if your application is successful, you can claim a refund.
Refunds are available for bus travel within the West Midlands, capped at £5.20 per day.
If you travel from outside the West Midlands, you may be able to claim for the part of your journey beyond the boundary.
Refunds are for bus travel only, unless there are exceptional circumstances. If this applies to you, please speak to a Student Hub Adviser before submitting a claim.
Once you’ve submitted your application, our team will carry out an eligibility check. Processing times vary, especially at the start of the academic year when we receive high numbers of applications, so please apply as early as possible.
You can log into PayMyStudent at any time to see the progress of your application, read messages from the team and track any payments made to you.
