Hair & Barbering Apprenticeships

If you want to be a hairdresser or barber, an apprenticeship is the ideal way to learn the skills you need for your future career.

Kick-start your career in the Hair & Barbering industry

With programmes at beginner level if you’re just starting out, or advanced level if you want to develop your skills further, an apprenticeship will enable you to work in the industry while you’re doing your training.

You’ll combine working in a salon with studying towards a set of occupational standards, learning-on-the-job alongside experienced colleagues in the workplace – and because you’ll be doing a real job you’ll get paid too! On your day at college you will continue your learning in the New Era salon at the City Learning Quarter Campus which operates as a commercial salon and is open to the public.
