I have been in the hair and barbering industry for over 30 years and teaching for 20 of those years. Along my journey I have owned two unisex hair salons and worked independently for private assessing companies for the hair industry. I am a big believer that you get out of life what you put into it.
I have been passionate about hair for over 30 years and worked in professional salons and training environments around the Midlands. I love the creativity and sense of pride and achievement when clients walk out feeling fabulous. I now thrive on helping students grow their confidence and guiding them to achieve their goals within the hair industry.
I’ve been in the hair, beauty and holistic therapies industry now for over 14 years and teaching in the college for 5 years, but I was a voluntary assessor/trainee teacher for 5 years here before that. I have worked at various salons, and I have also been fortunate to work for myself too. I love passing on knowledge that I’ve gained over the years to students that I teach.
I have worked at the college since 2007 and prior to that I was a student here for 3 years studying African Caribbean hairdressing levels 1, 2, and 3 as well Level 3 Hairdressing European. I have taught an array of subjects, but my ultimate passion is working with excessively curly hair and researching different forms of teaching technology. I am a dedicated professional who aspires to achieve the best for myself, and my students.
I have been in the beauty industry since I was 16, and teaching for over 20 years. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel the world, working for salons in Australia and being part of big spa teams on cruise ships. In my spare time I love gardening, upcycling projects & crafting.
I have worked for the college since 2016, starting off as a model coordinator and working my way up to be an assessor. I love seeing students progress through the years; upskilling and learning new things that they once thought they would never be able to do!
I have over five years’ experience in the hair industry and love seeing clients come out with complete transformations. My favourite part of the job is creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients and students alike and the dynamic and social nature of the role.
I have 18 years’ teaching experience and, prior to becoming a tutor I worked in beauty salons for 14 years. As a tutor, I enjoy seeing students’ confidence increase as they learn new skills. In my free time I enjoy walking and reading.
I have worked for the college for over 20 years and teach hairdressing Level 1,2 and 3. My passion and values include achievement to stretch and challenge each learner so they thrive in the hair industry.
I am a dedicated hair and barbering teacher with a flair for nurturing talent and fostering creativity. I have been in the hair and beauty industry in excess of 25 years and taught for over 15 years. I have experience working in large reputable salons and barbershops, have participated in London fashion week, and have won industry competitions. I’m devoted to shaping aspiring stylists into skilled professionals and believe it is important to foster an environment where students can flourish.
