If you want to help others to learn, an apprenticeship will give you the skills and knowledge you need, whatever age group or setting you choose to work in.
With two programmes on offer – teaching assistant and learning mentor – an apprenticeship will enable you to work in a relevant role in the public or private sector while you’re doing your training – and, because you’ll be doing a real job for a real employer, you’ll get paid too!
Whether you do your apprenticeship in a school, college or non-education setting, you will combine on-the-job training, working alongside experienced staff, with attending college – usually one day per week – where you will be taught by highly qualified tutors who have worked in the sector themselves.
What’s more, you’ll be supported throughout your training by a college assessor who will visit you in the workplace to make sure you are meeting your targets and that both you and your employer are getting the most out of your apprenticeship.
We have excellent relationships with local employers and develop training to meet the needs of their businesses, so you can be assured you’ll gain the skills that they are looking for in their employees – and, if you impress them during your training, you may even be offered a job when you’ve completed apprenticeship and gained your qualification.
And, did you know that apprenticeships aren’t just for new staff? if you’re already employed in the education sector and want to improve your skills and boost your promotion prospects you can benefit from apprenticeship training too – just ask your employer to email email@example.com and a member of the team will contact them to discuss your training further.
