The Difference Makers

City of Wolverhampton College is one of the region’s leading Further Education providers. We believe our staff are our greatest asset, and that it is only through their knowledge and experience that we can help make a difference to the lives of people across Wolverhampton and beyond.

Our commitment to staff training and development has led us to be awarded the Investors in People Gold standard, joining the top 3% of accredited organisations across the UK that have been recognised for the way it supports its employers.

We’re looking for people who want to make a difference too, and help improve our community. It’s not all about teaching – we’re looking for talented people with a wide range of skills and knowledge to join our journey and share in our success.

For staff, we offer a range of benefits including pension schemes (either the Teachers’ Pension Scheme or the Local Government Pension Scheme), an employee assistance programme offering a free, confidential hotline and face-to-face support for a range of issues, a childcare voucher scheme, and the option to purchase dental and healthcare plans, as well as discounts with local retailers, on gym membership and treatments provided in our hair and beauty salons, not to mention the chance to be a winner in our monthly staff lottery!

City of Wolverhampton College is one of the largest college’s in the region, working with more than 700 employers each year, including a number of multi nationals.

The college offers a range of programmes, including apprenticeships, workplace learning and commercially funded projects, as well as employability schemes for the unemployed. It is the UK’s leading training provider in plastics and the largest provider of 16-18 apprenticeships in the area.

It is among the top 15% of colleges in England for success rates for 16-18 year olds and was graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted in November 2014.
