A Levels

A Levels are nationally recognised qualifications highly regarded by both employers and universities.

With a range of courses offer – many of which are different to those on offer at school – you can study the subjects that interest you and the combination that best suits your plans for your future career.

As an A Level student, you will have access to wvSixth – our own newly refurbished sixth form centre on the Paget Road campus. wvSixth provides a welcoming and supportive environment, solely for our A Level students, and is well-equipped with computers in both our social and quiet study areas, with plenty of space to relax and work during break times and outside of classes. A great community atmosphere; the A Level programme also allows for enrichment activities, both internally through study groups and societies, and externally through visits.

In your first year you will generally study three or four AS Level subjects and in your second year will usually continue to study three subjects in-depth to gain full A Level (A2) qualifications.

Our dedicated, passionate, and experienced lecturers are always on hand. With examining experience, Lecturers at City of Wolverhampton College ensure you have the best opportunities available to achieve your potential on your chosen course. We have an excellent achievement record on our A Level courses with around 75% of students progressing to higher education.
