“Learning on the job is the best way of learning for me,” said Chloe Stewart, who has just completed the Level 2 apprenticeship in customer service at Wolverhampton Homes.

Eighteen-year-old Chloe added: “I enjoy helping people and the training has been the first step in my working life and prepared me to work with customers in the future

“I’ve learnt how to communicate in the right way to make customers feel comfortable and how to deal with different customer-based situations, as well as learning about the company and how it is structured.

“When I found out that I’d passed the end-point assessment, and successfully completed my apprenticeship, I felt so proud of myself and so thankful to everyone who had supported me – my assessor was amazing and supported me throughout the training so that I was fully prepared.

“Going forward, I would like to progress to the level 3 apprenticeship standard in customer service  and my goal is to become a tenancy officer as I worked with the tenancy team during my training and loved it!

“Doing an apprenticeship and learning at college is an amazing way to get a real feel for working life and you don’t have to be academic to start on your career path – you learn on the job and get unlimited amounts of support.”
