If you see yourself working in a salon an apprenticeship is the ideal way to pick up skills by working with real paying clients.
As a hairdressing apprentice, you’ll work as a salon junior, assisting senior staff while training as a junior stylist. You will spend four to five days a week in a salon, earning a wage and working alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills.
As a beauty therapy apprentice, you’ll assist senior therapists and learn a range of skills and techniques, such as how to improve facial skin conditions, wax body hair, spray tan, shape and colour brows, perform hand and foot treatments, and apply make-up.
Off-the-job, for one day a week, you’ll attend the college training salon to receive training and work towards nationally recognised qualifications.
